Programme Area

Livelihoods

Household economies strong enough to absorb a shock.

Overview

Savings groups, enterprise skills and market access that turn fragile households into resilient economies.

Poverty and conflict feed each other. When a harvest fails or a household has no savings, small pressures turn into disputes and families make choices they would not otherwise make.

Our livelihoods programme starts with community-owned savings groups, adds enterprise and vocational skills, then connects producers to buyers who pay fairly and on time.

The Challenge

Fragile household incomes leave families exposed to shocks and can fuel conflict over scarce resources.

Our Response

We build resilient household economies through savings groups, enterprise skills and stronger market access.

Who benefits
